101 Introduction to Kiln Formed Glass; Fusing & Slumping

Instructor/artist   Audrey Ventimiglia
4 weeks,  3 hour class, 1 day per week

This class begins your adventure in the wonders of melting colorful fused glass art forms. Join Audrey in this fun new medium as you learn glass cutting techniques, use of glass molds, non-glass inclusions, glass frit and fragment applications, as well as sagging & slumping. View melting & moving glass during class as you view a kiln firing in progress! There will be plenty of inspiration for your project generated in class. 

Ventimiglia Studios will provide the following;

Approx 200 sq. in. of Glass, use of; ceramic molds, glass tools, supplies,
3 firings in the studio glass kiln(s).

Class fee: $195.

Supply fee: Additional glass may be purchased as needed.
Students are asked to bring a pair of safety glasses &  wear closed shoes and cotton clothing.

102 Introduction to Glass Sculpture, Fusing & Slumping

4 weeks,  3 hour class, 1 day per week


Let your creative juices (and the glass) flow! Let Audrey guide you through the incredible process of creating colored glass layers that will be fused in the studio kiln to a molten shaped masterpiece before your eyes! In this 4 week course students will create a simple shape in clay, that will later serve as a mold in the final fused glass project.  Learn glass cutting techniques, use of glass frit and fragment applications, as well as sagging & slumping during an actual glass kiln firing in progress!

Ventimiglia Studios will provide the following;

Clay, Approx 200 sq. in. of Glass, clay tools, glass tools, supplies,
3 total firings: clay in a ceramic kiln, and 2 firings in the studio glass kiln(s).

Class fee: $195.
Supply fee: Additional clay & glass may be purchased as your project requires.

Students are asked to bring a pair of safety glasses,  wear closed shoes, and cotton clothing to all classes.

103WS Glass Fusion Intro 1 & 2 day Workshops

Saturday or Sunday 1:00pm - 5:00 pm

4 weeks,  3 hour class, 1 day per week

In this 1 day session students will create a glass work of art, ready to be fused in the kiln.  
Learn glass cutting techniques, use of glass frit and fragment applications.

Ventimiglia Studios will provide the following;

Approx 100 sq. in. of Glass, clay tools, glass tools, supplies,
and 1 firing in one of the studio kilns.

Class fee: First Workshop $75    Second Workshop $65
Supply fee: Additional glass may be purchased as your project requires.

Students are asked to bring a pair of safety glasses,  wear closed shoes, and cotton clothing to all classes.

Glass Student/Artists Open Studio

Open Studio Time is available at an hourly or daily rate, to students who have completed required classes, & training on studio use & equipment.
